My Career Journey: I started my career way back in the year 1999 as a Counsellor for a year and moved into the life insurance business, taking the 100 hours of IRDA training and getting certified as a License holder of the Agency for ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. I worked as a hardcore sales guy, earning my living by selling insurance, but despite all my efforts, I couldn’t achieve MDRT; this journey taught me a lot, and I’ve even become a financial planner for most of my customers at some point. I am always thankful to Mr. Amol Shitut, Mr. Ramasubramaniam, and Mr.Vinay Joshi for supporting me in every way and helping me enhance my knowledge and skills throughout my journey with Life Insurance.
It was the year 2007 when life took a major turning point, and I happened to move from the core sales to the training side. My first Training was in Kolhapur, and later on, it was no looking back; I kept on getting opportunities, and in the span of 20years in the L&D domain, I have touched 2.5 lakh professionals from various industries, educational backgrounds, and experiences, from students to CEO’s of various organizations. People from 0 to 30+ years of experience underwent my training sessions. And I too learnt many things from these trainees, as we say, “Life is a continuous learning process”.
Dr.Pravin Bodade was my mentor, whom I admire the most, for pushing me into this career, which has spanned nearly 2 decades by now. Mr. Chandrasekhar Vispute, Mr.Rajiv Doshi, and Mr. Rahul Dikonda were among the few who encouraged me to start my career in the L&D domain.
I was preparing for something great in the future when I got this opportunity to work with Tata Motors Ltd. in the year 2011. Out of 650+ Trainer assessments pan-India, I was selected among the 45 required trainers for the all-India upcoming project, underwent a rigorous and intense training program, and got certified from the Global Gurus of Mercury Goldmann sponsored by Tata Motors Ltd. and SLS.
This opportunity gave me the chance to stand out in my Personal & Professional Life. Took an early retirement by the age of 41 and got into a full-time consulting role.
